Rogue cops get bail

Corporal Hopeton Reid and Constable Jermaine Anderson have been charged with breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act and indecent assault.



Corporal Reid has also been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.



It is alleged that he went to the woman’s house the day following the incident and attempted to return money, which he and his colleague had earlier demanded from her.



The two policemen are required to report to the Bridgeport police three times weekly and are scheduled to return to the Spanish Town Resident Magistrates court on July 25.



They were also warned against having any contact with the woman who made the complaint against them.
