Racial divisions prevent new gov’t

Opposition Leader Basdeo Panday is claiming that racial divisions in the twin island republic prevented a change of government last year.
Still bitter from the election defeat, Panday reportedly said that Grenadians, who this week changed their government were smarter than his countrymen and women.
On Tuesday, Tillman Thomas’ National Democratic Congress (NDC) ended 13 years in opposition, when it defeated the New National Party (NNP) of former Prime Minister Keith Mitchell.
