Cabinet not on recess

Jamaica House is seeking to correct a release it issued on Monday stating that The Cabinet is on recess.



In another release issued this morning Jamaica House said while Parliament is on summer break from August to September, the Cabinet is still in session.



As a result, Jamaica House says Cabinet ministers will have their regular meeting on Monday.



In the meantime, Prime Minister Bruce Golding started his four-day vacation yesterday.



The Prime Minister, who is now overseas, returns to official duties on Friday August 15.



The Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Ken Baugh is in charge of the government until Mr. Golding returns.
