Murder suspect in custody

The police in Ocho Rios, St. Ann have taken a man into custody following the shooting death of another man in Great Pond in the parish on Wednesday.



The dead man has been identified as Bernardo McIntosh, 19, of Great Pond in the parish.



The police have not released the identity of the man who has been taken in for questioning.



According to the police, around 11.30 p.m. on Wednesday, residents heard explosions in the community and went to investigate.



The police said residents found McIntosh in the vicinity of the bus terminal suffering from gunshot wounds.



He was taken to the St. Ann’s Bay hospital, but died while undergoing treatment around 1p.m. yesterday.



The Claremont police in the parish have still not established a motive for the murder of a 54 year old man yesterday.



Wesley Fullerton of Drummily was found at his house with multiple chop wounds.



The police said one of Mr. Fullerton’s neighbours found his body in the yard shortly after 6 a.m.
