Jamaicans advance to semis

Jamaica’s three 100-metre sprinters have all qualified for the semi finals of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China slated for 7.05 a.m.



No one was as awesome as Usain Bolt during the quarterfinal rounds this morning Jamaica time.



He qualified for the semis with a time of 9.92, the fastest time in China to qualify for the next round.



Asafa Powell, who had been the world record holder clocked 10.02 in the last of the quarterfinals.



His countryman Michael Frater also advanced to the semi-final after clocking 10.09 for second place in first quarterfinal.



America’s Tyson Gay was also easy in his heat and quarter final to go through to the semis.
