Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Scotia Investments, Anya Schnoor, is leaving Jamaica and will assume a developmental position at Scotiabank in Toronto, Canada effective November 1.

Schnoor is also the executive vice president of wealth management and insurance within the Scotiabank Group.

“Anya has contributed tremendously to the success of our business in Jamaica over the past five years,” said Bruce Bowen, president and CEO of Scotiabank.

Schnoor led the integration of DB&G into Scotiabank Group and has overseen significant growth in the wealth management and insurance side of business.

“As a global bank our employees have access to opportunities in any of the 50 countries in which we operate. Anya’s exposure to the broader capabilities of Scotiabank globally will prepare her for new opportunities in the future,” Scotiabank said in a release.

Lissant Mitchell, current chief operating officer of Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd., has been elected to assume the CEO position on November 1.
