Another May Pen shooting

Police investigators in Clarendon are continuing their probe into this morning’s shooting death of a man and the wounding of another in May Pen.



Melburn Gardener otherwise called Sparrow of May Pen was killed about 1.45 a.m.



Another man who was injured in the shooting has been admitted to hospital in critical condition.



According to the police, the two were among a group of twelve men who were gambling at the May Pen taxi stand when two gunmen struck.



The gamblers reportedly ran in different directions after the gunmen opened fire.



The police say Gardener was chased on to Brompty Street where he was shot repeatedly.



His body was discovered about 6 a.m today.



The May Pen police say they have not yet established a motive for the shooting
