Ministry host health fair

The Ministry of Health said it would be staging a three-day immunisation health fair in Kingston beginning tomorrow.



The health ministry said the health fair is in an effort to get parents to have their children immunised ahead of the new school year.



Medical Officer of Health for Kingston and St. Andrew, Dr. Sandra Chambers, said parents are being encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity and get their children properly immunised.



She said under the law children who are not properly immunised should not be admitted to school.



Dr. Chambers said persons who disobey the law would be prosecuted.



The immunisation fair will also offer free dental check-ups for children on Friday.
