CDA set up collection centres

The Child Development Agency (CDA) has established collection centres at its corporate office as well as at its regional offices in the North East, Southern and Western regions.

The CDA said this has been done in a bid to manage the expected inflow of applications from residential childcare facilities.

Special teams have reportedly been assigned to receive and verify additional documents, which are to be submitted along with the applications.

The agency said it has also set up help desks in the offices to deal with the concerns and queries from the children’s homes.

The CDA said an assessment of the properties would then be done within 28 days of the receipt of applications.

The Agency will then submit a report on the applications and the CDA’s recommendations to the Health Ministry by November 13.
