Man charged another in custody

The St. Mary police yesterday charged a man who was allegedly found with an illegal gun and took another into custody for questioning.



Anthony Henry, 19, of Tryall in the parish has been charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.



The police said around 1.15 p.m. yesterday, they responded to reports of explosions in a section of the community.



According to the police, on their arrival in the community three men were seen acting suspiciously.



The police said one of the men ran.



The police said a Smith and Wesson 9 millimeter pistol with 11 rounds of ammunition was taken from Henry.



The other man was taken into custody for questioning.
