Samuda talks Bolt
A senior Government Minister has joined in the debate over the actions of Jamaica’s 100 metre record holder Usian Bolt after his golden Olympic run.
Karl Samuda, the minister of industry, investment and commerce, says Bolt should not apologize for celebrating even before he completed the race.
Bolts actions have been scrutinised by commentators who claim that he was showboating and being disrespectful after his record 9 point 69- run.
Jacques Rogge, the International Olympic Committee president has been the latest to criticise Bolt.
According to Mr Rogge, Bolt is a good athlete, but his actions show a lack of respect to other competitors.
That\'s not the way we perceive being a champion, Rogge said in release issued today.
The IOC president said Bolt should show more respect for his competitors and shake hands and give a tap on the shoulder to them immediately after his finish and not make gestures like the one he made in the 100-metres.
But Mr Samuda has rejected claims that Bolt was show boating.
