Jamaica wins GOLD in World Record time

Jamaica men’s 4 by 100-metre relay team blazed the track at the Beijing Olympics a short while ago to break another World record in 37.1 seconds.



The quartet of Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell gave the country its 6th gold medal.



This brings the total number of medals for the country to 10.



Meanwhile, it was disappointment for the women’s 4 by 100 metre team who did not finish after Sherone Simpson failed to get the baton to teammate Kerron Stewart.



The race was won by the Russian Federation.
