The Jamaica Teachers Association (JTA) is tomorrow expected to hold talks with the Finance Ministry regarding its wage negotiations.
The negotiations have been stalled pending a report from financial firm, Focal Point Consulting Limited on how to match the salaries of public school teachers with those in the private sector.
Secretary General of the JTA, Dr. Adolph Cameron, said the Finance Ministry is now in receipt of the report and is expected to pass on its findings to the association.
The Association had given the Finance Ministry until today to respond to its salary package.
JTA President Doran Dixon said the association might have to revisit its request for a 100 percent wage increase depending on the result of the report.
