The National Works Agency, (NWA) says it has cleared 140 of the 360 roadways it says were blocked by landslides or flood waters during the passage of Tropical Storm Gustav.
However according to Communications Manager, Steven Shaw while several teams carried out repair work in a number of communities yesterday, some roadways including the Bog Walk Gorge in St Catherine have remained flooded.
Motorists are being advised to use the alternative routes to the Bog Walk Gorge via Barry and Sligoville.
According to Mr. Shaw the NWA’s teams are now focusing on sections of Gordon Town in St Andrew where there are several landslides.
