NWA road repair continues

The National Works Agency (NWA) said its still working to clear several roadways, which were blocked during the passage of Hurricane Gustav almost two weeks ago.



The NWA’s Senior Communications Officer, Colin Morrison, said of the 368 of the roads, which were blocked 52 remain impassable.



According to Mr Morrison, 20 major roadways and 32 parish council roads have not been cleared.



Mr. Morrison said repairs to roadways in the Sherwood Content, Trelawny community of Olympian Usain Bolt should be completed within a month.



Prime Minister Bruce Golding had instructed that the road network be repaired after Bolt attained three gold medals in world record time during the Beijing Olympics last month.
