Jamaica Yellow Pages launches mobile app

Jamaica Yellow Pages is now available on mobile phones.
Global Directories, the company that compiles the Yellow Pages, said the JYP mobile app is available for free from the Apple App Store and Android Marketplace.
It offers features such as search by text entry or voice recognition and allows users to sort results by relevance, distance, or alphabetical, easy click-to-call dialing, list and map views, and more, Global Directories said in a release on April 16.
"We will also be releasing a new mobile application exclusively for blackberry at a later date which will allow our users to find it fast in the Jamaica Yellow Pages regardless of their mobile platform,” said Cecelia Bell, Marketing Manager at Global Directories.
The Jamaica Yellow Pages publishes contact information for businesses and professional services.
Global Directories publishes 15 telephone directories across the region, including those done for LIME across its Caribbean markets, the company said.
