Gas prices down

Motorists should expect a reduction in the price of petroleum products when they go to the pumps today.
The Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (Petrojam) said oil prices retreated on expectations that Hurricane Ike will bypass gulf oil and gas production facilities.
The price of 87 Unleaded and 90 octane gasoline has been reduced by $0.85.
Unleaded 87 and 90 octane will be sold for $73.99 and $75.43 respectively.
Automotive diesel oil has been reduced by $1.58 and will sell for $81.34.
Kersone goes down by $1.25 per litre and will be sold $81.36.
A litre of cooking gas will now sell for $42.21 following a reduction of $2.52.
As is customary, retailers are to add their respective mark ups to the announced prices.
