Job Lane protest death of teenager

Residents of Job Lane in St. Catherine are protesting the alleged killing of a

13-year-old boy by the police in the community this afternoon.



Dead is Jevon Robinson of 55 Job Lane.



Its reported that Jevon who had just returned home from school was riding his bicycle to another section of the community when he was killed.



The residents say the boy was killed after he stopped under a tree to converse with two other boys in the community.



They claim a police team drove up and opened fire on the boys, hitting Jevon.



The police say the boy was killed during a shootout.



However, the protesting residents claim that the teen was killed in cold blood.



A strong detachment of police is now in the community.
