JCF to meet with Parish Councillors

Members of the St. Ann Parish Council are to meet with newly appointed Inspector General of the constabulary force Deputy Commissioner Charles Scarlet today.
The Commercial Services Committee requested the meeting following comments made by a deputy superintendent at the Ocho Rios station regarding the use of the transportation centre in the resort town.
The DSP reportedly said that the transportation centre was not convenient for users.
The council says it is concerned with the statement as it might have serious implications for the use of the centre by members of the public.
Chairman of the Commercial Services Committee, Ian Bell, says the Council also wants the Inspector General to address other matters regarding policing in the parish.
