The St. Ann Parish Council said it is considering taking legal action against cellular provider Miphone whose contractors have been erecting several cellular towers across the parish.

The council said it intends to apply to the court to stop all work on the cellular sites.

According to the council approval was granted to Miphone for two sites to be erected; however the company has set up close to thirty towers.

The council said Miphone has ignored stop orders, and is continues to work on at least two sites in Ocho Rios.

Councillor for the Beecher Town division, Ian Bell said against this background the council is considering getting an injunction against Miphone.
