Seaview wanted man charged
A 23 year old man who was arrested by the Seaview Gardens Police nearly two months ago has now been charged with murder.
Shawn ‘Coach’ Walker has been charged by the Major Investigation Task Force (MITF), in connection with the shooting death of old Dwayne Rose,21, on January 6 last year.
He was taken into custody on August 12, after he was injured during a reported shoot-out with a police patrol team.
Walker was earlier charged for shooting with intent and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The police said he is the leader of a gang, which operates from the Phase Two Housing Scheme in Seaview Gardens.
According to the police, Walker is also a suspect in the murder of bus driver, Roy McFarlene, who was killed in July.
Walker is scheduled to appear in the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
