The National Works Agency, NWA announced it will be restricting the use of the temporary ford at Harbour View in St Andrew by heavy-duty vehicles.

The NWA says heavy-duty vehicles will only be allowed to use the ford for 12 hours.

Access will be granted between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. in the mornings.

The NWA says it has received numerous complaints from residents regarding the high volume of trucks using the ford as well as speeding in the community.

The ford was built following the collapse of a section of the Dry River Bridge.

The NWA says the new ford should be completed and opened for access to motorists within the next two weeks.
