The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) captain who died in a motor vehicle crash yesterday afternoon has been identified as 30 year old Julius Gordon.

Captain Gordon and two private soldiers were travelling in a jeep owned by the JDF along Washington Boulevard in Kingston around 3.30 p.m., when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle.

The jeep subsequently crashed into a Jamaica Urban Transit Company bus.

Captain Gordon died in the Spanish Town Hospital after he received multiple injuries.

The two injured soldiers, one of whom was reportedly driving the vehicle, have since been released from hospital into the care of the JDF.
