Shaw still in hospital

Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Audley Shaw, remained in hospital up to late yesterday evening.



Mr Shaw fell ill during a special meeting with Prime Minister Bruce Golding on Wednesday afternoon and had to be rushed to the University Hospital of the West Indies where he was admitted.



He was transferred to the intensive care unit yesterday to undergo more tests to determine the cause of his illness.



Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Dr Kenneth Baugh says despite his ordeal, Mr Shaw remained in high spirits yesterday.



He says Mr Shaw is quite normal but that he is under observation to determine the cause of his illness.



Meanwhile, the People\'s National Party have expressed best wishes to Mr Shaw during his illness.



Chairman of the party, Robert Pickersgill, said the party is concerned and hopes Mr Shaw recovers quickly.
