Classes at Maggoty High and the Glen Stewart Primary Schools in St. Elizabeth are to resume today.
Classes at both institutions were suspended yesterday following a chlorine leak at the high school in the morning.
The classes were suspended about 9:00 a.m. after an alarm was raised from the metal work classroom where a student was cutting a liquid gas cylinder, which released fumes sending several persons scampering.
About forty students from both schools had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The students were reportedly treated for respiratory problems and vomiting as a result of the noxious fumes from the old chlorine cylinder.
