Prices still up

Meanwhile, the consumer affairs commission is expressing concern that companies are not passing down decreases in world commodity prices to consumers.
Over the last three months the prices of grains and fuel have been trending down but the CAC says in some cases prices in the local market have increased.
While acknowledging that there are other inputs that might still be going up Chief executive officer at the CAC, Dolsie Allen, says prices could lower.
She says the prices of rice and flour have gone up on the local market despite a drop in grain prices.
Allen also says though there was a recent reduction on local chicken prices when the price of grain began trending down, the retail prices have since been increased.
