Constable to face ID parade
The police constable implicated in the abduction of a 14 year old girl from her house in St. Andrew last week is expected to face an identification parade today.
The constable is already facing criminal charges.
On Tuesday, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) ruled that the constable be charged with carnal abuse, indecent assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
He is being placed in the ID parade in relation to the charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The constable was arrested on Saturday, after the 14 year old girl was abducted from the gate of her house on Motello Drive, Harbour View, the evening before.
The police say the girl was standing at her gate talking with a friend when a white Toyota bus with three men drove up.
One of the men alighted with a gun and ordered the girl into the vehicle, then drove away.
The girl has not been seen since.
Yesterday, the police high command made an appeal for information, which can assist them in finding the girl.
