Elderly couple killers to appear in court

Keith ‘Shorty’ Merchant, 23, and Marcus Morgan, 32, were charged on Tuesday.



Merchant is from Toolis, Manchester and Morgan from Clarendon Park.



Louis and Carmen Bryan were reportedly at their house at Clarendon Park around 11 p.m. on September 27, when they were shot and their two-storey dwelling set ablaze.



The police say residents saw fire coming from the Bryan’s residence and alerted the police and the fire brigade.



One unit from the May Pen Fire Department carried out cooling down operations.



After the exercise, the couple’s charred remains were found among the rubble.



The two men accused of committing the offence were subsequently arrested during a police operation.
