Constable to be questioned

Investigators are today scheduled to question the police constable who has been linked to the abduction of 14 year old Jhaneel Gouldbourne.



Jhaneel was taken from the gate of her house on Motello Drive, Harbour View on October 24.



Detectives from the Kingston Eastern police division say the constable is also likely to be charged today.



He is to be charged with carnal abuse, indecent assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.



The Kingston-based policeman has since been placed on an identification parade in relation to the charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.



The constable was arrested on October 25 following Jhaneel’s abduction.



The police had earlier reported that she was standing at her gate talking with a friend when a vehicle drove up and she was ordered inside.



The white Toyota bus then drove off.



Jhaneel has not been seen since.
