The Union of Clerical and Supervisory Employees, UCASE will be seeking to represent some twenty-six categories of workers employed to Kingston Wharves.
The management of Kingston Wharves yesterday agreed for the workers to seek union representation during a meeting at the labour ministry.
The management has also agreed to sign a heads of agreement to allow for the ministry to carry out a poll among the workers.
Deputy Island Supervisor at UCASE Granville Valentine says the union is pleased with the decision taken by the company.
He says an agreement was also reached to have workers whose positions were made redundant recently included on the voters list.
Meanwhile, Mr Valentine says he is optimistic that the workers will be reinstated soon.
