Men killed in Rema shooting identified
The police have identified three of the four men who were killed in an alleged shoot-out with security personnel last week in Wilton Gardens, Kingston, popularly called Rema.
They are Rohan ‘Babba’ Palmer, 33, from Tivoli Courts, Theophilus ‘Tamarlyn’ Samuels and Alphanso ‘Jim’ Green also both from Kingston 12 addresses.
The police had reported that the gunfire started shortly after 2 p.m., after members of a police/military team patrolling in the community intercepted a group of armed men.
It is alleged that the men opened fire on the police and soldiers who returned the fire.
When the shooting ended, four men were dead, while two women had to be taken to hospital.
