BITU meets RBTT management

Representatives of the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU) are to meet with the management of RBTT today to discuss a proposed restructuring of some positions at the bank.

Employees represented by the union have raised concerns that the proposed changes could affect their employment at the institution.

President of the BITU, Kavan Gayle, said the proposed changes are a result of a change in the organisational structure at the bank’s head office in Trinidad and Tobago.

Mr. Gayle said workers were notified through a communiqué of the proposed changes, but says employees have not been told of the likely implications.
