Prisoner on the run

The police in St. Elizabeth have launched a manhunt for a male prisoner who escaped from the Lacovia police lock up in the parish on Monday.
He is Brenton McLeod, 27, a farmer of Burnt Savannah in the parish.
He was awaiting an identification parade in connection with a charge of illegal possession of firearm and robbery with aggravation when he escaped.
The police say around 6.30 p.m. on Monday, McLeod was taken from his cell to use the bathroom.
According to police after spending an extended period in the restroom checks were made and it was discovered that McLeod had cut a section of a gill and escaped.
