Jamaican basks in Obama’s victory

Across America, Jamaicans especially are still basking in the victory of the democratic candidate.

Many have regarded Obama’s win as a fulfilment of the dream of civil rights activists like Martin Luther King.

It’s a statement that has been endorsed by many Jamaicans across the United States.

Jamaican clergyman Bishop Cecil G Riley is among them.

Bishop Riley said he was always confident that the dream of a black man leading American would have been fulfilled.

He said Obama’s achievement has re-invigorated afro-Americans to aspire for greatness.

He is supported by another Jamaican, Neville Tomlinson, who was apart of the Obama Campaign team in New York.

According to Mr. Tomlinson, Obama’s win will also inspire unity among Americans.
