Trial date set for George Proctor

The case involving eighty-six year old University of the West Indies botanist George Proctor and his 46 year old driver has been set for trial on February 16 next year in the Home Circuit Court.



Proctor has been charged jointly with his driver Glenford Pellington for conspiracy to murder.



Its alleged that Proctor paid Pellington $90,000 to murder his 66-year-old wife.



Proctor, a respected botanist who has been living in Jamaica for more than 50 years is considered an authority on Jamaica’s flora.
