Shields tight-lipped on new contract

The police high command has remained tight-lipped on the new contract, which has been offered to deputy commissioner in charge of crime, Mark Shields.
There have been speculations that the crime chief would not be offered another contract as the police service commission and members of the police force were not pleased with his performance.
Addressing journalists at a news briefing yesterday, in Kingston, the police commissioner Rear Admiral Hardly Lewin said a new contract has been offered to Shields.
However, Admiral Lewin refused to give details on the contract.
In the meantime, DCP Shields has declined to comment on his contract:
