Three robbers were allegedly killed by the police in New Bowens, Clarendon this morning.
It is reported that around 9 a.m., four men held up and robbed a mini mart in the community.
They then tried to escape on foot but reportedly ran into the path of a police vehicle, which was on patrol.
Reports indicate that a shoot-out ensued during which three of the four robbers were shot and wounded.
The fourth robber reportedly escaped.
The injured men were taken to the May Pen hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Two of the men have been identified only by their aliases, ‘Fanna’ and ‘Sucko’ of neighbouring communities.
