The police are advising patrons attending the football match between Jamaica and Canada at the National Stadium this evening that no firearms, knives, large igloos, glass bottles, frozen water or drinks and umbrellas with pointed tips will be allowed inside the venue.

Licensed firearm holders are being advised to leave their weapons with their local police or make alternative arrangements for their safekeeping.

The police say all persons entering the stadium will be subjected to search.

The police say they will also be effecting several traffic changes as of 3.30 p.m. in an effort to effectively manage the traffic flow before, during and after the match.

Motorists are advised to obey the directives of the police, for smooth traffic flow.

Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) buses which normally use Arthur Wint Drive en route to New Kingston and Half-Way-Tree will be diverted on to Mountain View Avenue then to Stanton Terrace.
