JDF solider in court today
The Jamaica Defence Force Corporal who was charged earlier this week with the shooting death of four people at a nightclub in Kingston last month is expected to appear before the Corporate Area criminal court today.
He is 21-year-old corporal Leslie Moodie, who is attached to the coast guard.
He was charged on Monday with four counts of murder and three counts of shooting with intent.
Investigators say they are still working on some paperwork associated with the case, but expect to place the accused corporal before the courts today.
The police had earlier reported that on October 20 at 4: 14 a.m., Moodie was involved in an altercation with other patrons attending a birthday party.
Moodie reportedly opened fire inside the club injuring several persons.
Twenty-year-old Ejon Peart, 19-year-old Davian Clarke, 24-year-old Lynchmore Forbes and 28-year-old William Wilberforce were all killed.
Three other men were also injured during the incident.
The solider was also shot and wounded.
