Robber shot by robber

A man who attempted to rob a grocery shop in Stony Hill, St Andrew last night, was shot dead by his accomplice.
The dead man has been identified as 48-year old Cowen ‘Chei’ Eddie of Brooks Level Road, Stony Hill.
The police say shortly after 10:00 p.m. Eddie and another man entered the grocery shop where he ordered some cigarettes.
They say while being served, Eddie shot the cashier.
The other robber reportedly started shooting at random, hitting Eddie, the cashier and a customer.
Eddie reportedly died on the spot while the two injured persons were taken to hospital.
His accomplice reportedly escaped with his gun.
The St. Andrew North Police say Eddie was recently released from prison where he had served sentences for robbery and other gun related crimes.
