Milk River roadblock
Residents of Milk River in Clarendon have mounted several blockages on the roadway leading from York Town to their community.
The residents are reportedly upset about what they have described as deplorable road conditions.
They say they made complaints to the Transport and Works Ministry but received no favourable response.
The residents are also protesting against the closure of the Milk River Health Centre.
They say the medical facility has been closed since it lost its roof during the passage of Hurricane Dean last year.
Councillor for the Milk River Division, Carlton Bailey, said the residents are also upset that the Health Centre was not on a list of institutions slated for repair in the parish.
The list was reportedly submitted by the Health Ministry.
