Fire destroys six houses

Six houses were destroyed by fire set by arsonist in Hope Flats, Kingston 6, yesterday morning.
The police say that at 3:00 a.m. yesterday morning, four heavily armed men, dressed in black went to the Hope Flats community where they kicked open the doors to six houses.
The hoodlums then set fire to the houses. Not all the occupants of the houses were at home.
A Toyota Corolla motorcar owned by one of the occupants was damaged by the fire.
The men escaped on foot.
The fire brigade was summoned and units from Half-Way Tree, York Park and Rollington Town Fire Departments extinguished the blaze.
An estimate of damage has not yet been ascertained.
