The board of the Transport Authority has issued a vote of no confidence in the performance of its Managing Director Keith Goodison.

Goodison was reportedly given a letter advising him that he has been placed on a 29-day leave effective immediately.

It is understood that the managing director will be transferred to the Ministry of Transport and Works where he is expected to take up the position of transport coordinator.

Goodison originally had a three-year contract with the authority, which would have expired in December 2009.

When contacted yesterday chairman of the Transport Authority board, George Johnson, declined to comment on the matter.
