Prisoner faces more charges

Detectives from the Major Investigation Task Force have laid additional charges on a prisoner at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre in Kingston.



Radcliffe Smith, 30, who was arrested and charged in May for illegal possession of firearm and shooting with intent.



Smith, who also goes by the name Omar has now been charged with conspiracy to murder, illegal possession of firearm and shooting with intent.



The police say Smith is now the third man to be charged in connection with the murder last year of Oral Livermore otherwise called \'Blacks\' of Portsmouth in Portmore, St. Catherine.



The police had earlier reported that shortly before 3 o’ clock on Wednesday, August 15 a group of persons was at a shop at Milton\'s Place in Portmore when a white Honda Civic motor car drove up.



Occupants in the vehicle opened fire hitting Livermore and a 19 year-old man.



Following investigations by the Major Investigation Task Force, Oneil Thomas otherwise called \'Honey Boy\' of Kingston 11 and Lennox Hines, a JLP caretaker of Bridgeview, Portmore were charged.
