Lotto scammer found dead

A man, who was before the court for his alleged involvement in the lottery scam was found dead in Irwin, St James, yesterday morning.



Twenty seven year old Yowo Morle, of Bogue Village in St James was found dead in a Grey Nissan Skyline on West Avenue in Irwin.



The police say they were called to the community after residents reported hearing explosions at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday.



His body was discovered about 6:30 a.m. yesterday.



Morle was before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate\'s Court after being charged jointly with his 48-year-old mother, Hazel Clarke, in connection with the lottery scam.



He was facing charges of obtaining money by false pretence, conspiracy to defraud, and engaging in transactions that involve criminal property.



The police say they fleeced over US$600,000 or J$42.6 million from American citizens in the lottery scam.
