Air Traffic Controllers still restive

The Jamaica Air Traffic Controllers Association has sought the intervention of the Finance Ministry in the wage dispute involving the management of the Civil Aviation Authority.

The air traffic controllers are upset that they did not get a favourable response from the Civil Aviation Authority regarding a wage claim for the period 2008 to 2010.

General Secretary of the Association, Deano Ledford says members are frustrated about the pace of the wage negotiations.

He says the association is against a disruption in operations especially during the Christmas season.

He is hoping that the issue will be resolved soon.

Mr. Ledford says a meeting date with the Finance Ministry has not yet been finalised.
