Cyclist killed

A 53-year-old man died from injuries he sustained after he was hit from his bicycle by a car on Broughton main road, Westmoreland yesterday.



He has been identified as Justin Cocker of Broughton District.



The police say Mr Cocker rode his bicycle into the path of an oncoming motorcar about 2:30 p.m. yesterday.



He reportedly sustained multiple injuries and was taken to the Savanna-la-mar Public Hospital where he died.



Mr Cocker’s death is included in the 325 persons killed on the roads since the start of the year.
