Farm road repair fund

Transport and Works Minister Mike Henry says the government is seriously considering setting up a dedicated fund to repair farm roads island wide.
His comment follows calls from the Jamaica Agricultural Society for the government to invest in the development of rural infrastructure.
Mr Henry says the situation of the country’s farm roads will be addressed shortly
He says a preliminary report into the incident in Portland has indicated that the crash was not caused by a faulty road structure.
He says he’s to receive further reports regarding the crash.
The transport minister says he will be visiting the scene of the accident after the Christmas Holiday to assess the situation.
