The Portland police say by this weekend they could apprehend the driver of the ill-fated truck, which plunged over a precipice in the Rio Grande Valley.
Fourteen people, including a 10 ten-year old boy, were killed in the crash on the night of December 19.
Since that time, the truck driver, identified as \'Chris\', has been missing.
The Constabulary Communication Network Liaison Officer for Portland, Sergeant Dwayne Campbell, says the police now have enough information, which could help them to find Chris.
Sergeant Campbell declined to release the full name of the driver in a bid not to compromise the case.
In the meantime the seven persons who survived the accident are recuperating.
Three of them remain hospitalized.
