Investigators probing the death of a man on Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston yesterday, are yet to determine if he was killed by one of his cronies.

The police say the man was killed after a group of men opened fire on members of a security team who were responding to an activated alarm at a business place along Marcus Garvey drive.

Three teenage boys who were found hiding on the premises have been taken into custody and are being questioned by the police.

The boys who are aged 15, 17 and 19 are from Kingston 13 addresses.

The police say the dead man, who is unidentified, is of dark complexion, medium build and about 183 centimetres tall.

He was clad in blue jeans pants, blue and black striped underpants and multi-coloured Adidas sneakers.

According to the police about 3:00 a.m. yesterday, security guards went to a business establishment at Marcus Garvey drive after the building’s alarm system was activated.

During a search of the premises, the guards were greeted with gunfire.

The police say the fire was returned and a group of men were seen running from the building.

When the shooting subsided, the injured man and the teens were found hiding.

A quantity of looted goods was also recovered.
